One fateful night years ago in a Dublin pub, a table of whiskey makers passionately debated how Irish whiskey could better appeal to the next generation of whiskey lovers, something outside the traditional, stodgy norm.

Who among them could—or would even dare—create such an unorthodox spirit in the stick-to-the-rules world of Irish whiskey making? Eventually the discussion escalated to the pinnacle of pub challenges: the formidable “Triple Dog Dare.”

Now it was serious. We took the dare.

The result is a new breed of Irish whiskey—an unconventionally styled, yet true Irish spirit decidedly different from traditional, establishment brands—aptly named, Triple Dog.
